With regards to Getting Your MSN.com mail
 

The Rules for getting pop3 mail are changed but you CAN access your MSN Mailbox at hotmail.com.

Sometimes, Getting to Hotmail.com on your MSNTV receiver can be troublesome:

 Passport gets confused on its way to hotmail and redirects you
to WebTV.
Now should this happen,

IF You have Added your MSN.com user to your MSNTV Account Click Here

 

Solutions and Workarounds:


IF You can no Longer Fetch your MSN.com mail to your MSNTV mailbox

This is normal. MSN.com's POP3 now demands "Secure Password Authentication" (SPA) which MSNTV's POP3 client and MOST OTHER pop3 clients cannot do. You have 2 choices:

  1. Access your MSN.com mail at Hotmail

  2. Add your MSN.com user to your box as a user

 


If you get Stuck at a Grey Screen Or Get an Error Message,

you are suffering from a bad passport Sign in.

You need to find a SIGN OUT of .net button, like at www.msn.com

Then you can SIGN IN to .NET again to get you Back on Track. Proceed from below:
 


If you arrive at a Brown screen:
You will be at a brown screen which reads
"Getting started"


there are 2 buttons at the bottom of the page,
do not click on them.

Above them is a Link "Click here to sign in with an Existing Passport"
Click it and it takes you to a blue screen, "Sign in to access your Passport account"


On the blue screen , put in your full MSN address
(eg. Gary@MSN.com)

and your MSN password.

This will take you to the MSN inbox.
 


If you arrive at a Blue screen:
On the blue screen (see above), put in your full MSN address
(eg. Gary@msn.com)
and your msn password.

This will take you to the msn mail inbox.


If you are Still having Problems:

Call msn and tell them you cannot get your mail at www.hotmail.com and have them check it.

MSN can fix this error.

 



 

IF You have Added your MSN.com user to your MSNTV Account

 

3 Easy Steps to MSN.com Mail

  1. Switch users  to your MSN.com user

  2. GO To www.hotmail.com

  3. You will get the Blue Screen


On the blue screen , put in your full
MSN address
(eg. Gary@MSN.com)
and your
MSN password.

This will take you to the MSN Mail inbox.
